How is Zeptide Administered (dose & titration)
Route: Subcutaneous (under the skin) injection — prefilled syringe/pen for once-weekly use.
Starting dose: 2.5 mg once weekly for 4 weeks (this starter dose is for initiation and is not intended to provide full glycemic control).
Titration: After 4 weeks, increase to 5 mg once weekly. If additional control/benefit is needed and tolerated, doses may be increased in 2.5 mg increments every ≥4 weeks up to a maximum of 15 mg once weekly. Typical maintenance doses used clinically are 5 mg, 10 mg or 15 mg once weekly. These recommendations follow established tirzepatide prescribing guidance. FDA Access Data+1
Important: Dose adjustments, the pace of titration, and whether to continue or stop therapy should be decided by a treating physician based on efficacy and tolerability (especially gastrointestinal side effects). Medscape Reference
