Aireez is a medication that contains the active ingredient Montelukast Sodium. The 4mg sachet form of Aireez is typically prescribed for pediatric patients, especially those who are unable to swallow tablets or for whom the 4mg dosage is appropriate. Montelukast Sodium is a leukotriene receptor antagonist primarily used to manage and prevent asthma symptoms and to relieve symptoms of allergic rhinitis (hay fever).

Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in pediatric patients aged 12 months to 5 years. Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (including nasal congestion, sneezing, itching, and runny nose) in pediatric patients aged 2 to 5 years.

Montelukast works by blocking the action of leukotrienes, which are chemicals in the body that contribute to inflammation, bronchoconstriction (tightening of muscles in the airways), and mucus production in the lungs and nasal passages.
