Description and Usage:

Xiga-Met XR is a combination medication that contains two active ingredients: dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride. It is commonly used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes to help control blood sugar levels.

Xiga-Met XR combines dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, and metformin hydrochloride, a biguanide, in an extended-release formulation. Dapagliflozin reduces glucose reabsorption by the kidneys, while metformin improves insulin sensitivity and reduces glucose production by the liver.
